Shane Clouse Biography

Shane Clouse is a singer/songwriter and recording artist born and raised in Missoula, Montana. Shane and his band Stomping Ground have opened for country music greats including Ronnie Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins, Phil Vasser, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Anderson, and Sawyer Brown. The youngest of eight children Shane has a strong devotion to family and to agriculture. He and the love of his life, Kelly live near the scenic Bitterroot River in Lolo, MT. In his free time Shane enjoys hockey, rugby, hunting, and working with his horses on his family's ranch nestled under St. Mary's Peak in Stevensville, MT. Shane got his start in Nashville, TN where he recorded his first solo album in 2002. Shane and his band were state winners and regional finalists of the Colgate Country Showdown and Shane’s song Finer Things was featured on the nationally syndicated Lia Show. Shane has since recorded and released four other CD's including the 2010 album Good Thing Going On. The song Stomping Ground from that CD is the theme song for upcoming rodeo reality show, featuring the Willis family of Redmond, OR, Stompin’ Ground – set to premiere in February 2012 on Comcast SportsNet.
